Default 224/228 XE-R cam

This is another cam consideration.

Anybody running this?

I'm looking for dyno #'s and track times.

Thanks
Sean

That cam is great.I'd run a 112LSA if I had it in my car with an auto,114LSA w/a stick. It should peak about 6400 and make killer HP...

Why run a higher LSA with a M6?
This is for racing, not tooling around on the street.
I want mad power between 4000-6500.

Jason-I got your e-mail,could you send me dyno graphs comparing the 2 cams?
or post them on here?

Thanks,
Sean

I'm considering 228ish.
I might do a custom grind 228/232.
I would like a minor split because I plan on running nitrous.
I still haven't been able to get good, definetive answers.
They are all pretty vague.
Some people say you don't need 580ish lift to make good power,
other people say you do. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />

Simply stated-I want the most powerful cam for drag racing.

You don't need the 580 lift compared to 565, but the faster ramps probably add a couple HP and make having a big cam much more livable.

I wouldn't worry about the split pattern unless you will be spraying more than 150 shot on a regular basis.
