Default fuel filter for 03 z06?

well, i havent even looked yes so dont be a hater, just looking for inside info.
where is it locaited? im sure once im under the car i cant miss it, but also, what filter to run? im guessing a delco is probably best. thats what i run in my truck and what i used to run in my camaro.
any tips? i have yet to do a vett fuel filter. but i will be soon.
again, this may sound dumb, and the filter may be out in the open just like the f-body ect ect, but i just thought of this right now.

ive been home sick in the house for 2 days, so im getting stir crazy, i kinda miss work

Brad you cant miss it, its towards the back of the car, drivers side. As far as brands I would stick with AC delco. Im gonna do my fuel filter before summer starts.

Just so your not surprised if you do not find it there in mid year 03 they changed the fuel systems over to the FFS type. This puts the fuel filter inside the gas tank. My 02 Z has it on the drivers side rear area as noted in the other post. Don

Yep mid 03' moved the fuel filter to inside the gas tank. Its a non service item now. Supposed to last as long as the fuel pump. Its part of the whole fuel bucket/pump assembly...GM at its best

yep, if you have "FFS" on the RPO codes on the glove box sticker then its a whole bunch of silly stuff. Im in the process of designing my own fuel system to integrate with all of that BS

Your fuel sending units will probably go out before you need to replace the fuel filter.

I agree with frequent changes in fuel filters, it seems in my area there are a lot of stations with junk gas, especially diesel. In my gassers i'm about every 10k in my diesels every 4-6k.
