Seriously, TEA heads, IMO, can't be beat for the $$$. Looks like some quality heads are becoming available at signifigantly less than the "big three", and thats always a good thing. After one conversation with Brian at TEA (about a half hour long conversation at that ), I decided that I would go w/ TEA. No dyno #s or track times yet, still waiting on a clutch and a 12 bolt. (C'mon Santa )

I have TEA 5.3 stage 2 heads waiting to go on the car next week. I've only heard good things about TEA and everyone that has them really likes them. Their customer service was great and there prices are really fair. You won't be disappointed if you go with TEA.

I've got a set of TEA S2 5.3L heads sitting in my bedroom. No numbers as I wont be installing them until january. But IMHO you can't beat them for the price. I spent a good 2 months deciding which heads to get. I kept up on this board and others watching what people got and how they liked them. In the end i decided on TEA because so many people were getting them.

Brian is a stand up guy, I spoke on the phone with him for about 45 minutes the day I ordered them and he really seems to know his stuff. I've also got several emails that I had sent him asking info about his heads and machining process.

One of the BIG things that I liked about TEAs heads is that they are CNC ported. So there's no worry that the porter will have a bad day or make a mistake. Computers do what they're told so the set of heads I have will most likely be very similar to a set sold 5 months ago and a set sold today (provided there haven't been changes to the CNC program).

For the price, you get bigger valves, titanium retainers, and comp double springs... plus all the machine work. Good price, Good quality, good bang for the buck.

Let me tell you, the flow numbers for T.E.A. LS1 Stage II heads are some of the best numbers currently available, period. (not that flow numbers are gospel). Mine flowed 303 Intake CFM and 244 Exhaust CFM at .600 lift! That combined with the TR224 cam and your talkin' some real power. I should have some dyno numbers for this new setup by the end of the week. With the MTI B1 (221/221 .559/.559) cam and stock heads I dyno'd at 386RWHP/385RWTQ through a Moser 12-bolt and Denny's Driveshaft and no tuning. I just switched to the TR224 (224/224 .564/.565) and installed the T.E.A. heads. With a good tune I'm hoping for a solid 30-35 RWHP increase, which should land me right around 420RWHP. For $1800 (minus the core charge!), you can't beat that deal. Not to mention that Brian Tooley is one of the coolest guys I've ever dealt with over the phone.

Compare that with the $2400-$2700 for some of the other "Big Name" heads.

Save your money and go with T.E.A. You won't be dissappointed.

I think the TEA's are a good value.

Dual springs, Ferra valves, CNC'd, 400+rwhp

What's not to like?

TEA heads rock. I switched to them from heads from the Vette Doctors, and the power increase was really noticeable.

I think that for the money, you can't beat the value you get. I live in Louisville, and when I ordered my 5.3L heads from Brian, I actually drove down there on two different occasions to meet with Brian and see his shop and look at how they do their work.

All I can say is that Brian and his crew are top-notch. I am really impressed by the heads, and I would re-purchase them in a heartbeat. I don't think you can go wrong with TEA.
