Default which cam- 230/22x

ive seen a lot of cams with 230 on the intake, but what about exhaust? ive seen just about every exhaust duration- 224, 226, 227, 228, 230. does it make a big difference? i was lookin at a 230/227. what would the difference be if i went with 226 or 228 on the exhaust? Also, what difference does a more aggressive ramp profile make in terms of power? i know they are a little noiser and harder on the valvetrain, but what, if any, benefits are there?
