Owners of the TSP228 and TSP224R cam ?'s inside
I was looking at these cams and I was wondering if anybody has any dyno numbers on stock heads and any 1/4 mile times. Also if you have a M6 what do you shift at. Here's the specs on the cams if anybody else doen't know what they are.
TSP228 Reverse Split 228/224 .588/.581 111 LSA
TSP224R 224/224 .581/.581 112 LSA
I'm leaning more towards the reverse split cam.

I like your choice of camshafts. With the 224 cam, I dynoed 361 RWHP with an unlocked torque converter and 380 RWHP with it locked. FYI, you'll dyno higher with the same cam and mods with an M6 due to the higher parasitic loss of the 4L60E. My best ET with that cam and stock heads was an 11.63 @ 114 MPH with a 1.588 60' time. The density altitude was right at 1,100', and my raceweight was 3,515# with me in it.
I have since swapped to the 228R. I picked up an additional 8 RWHP throughout my usable powerband, putting my unlocked dyno #'s at 369 RWHP. I was not able to dyno the car with the converter locked that day, but it should come in right at 388-390 RWHP. It's not too bad for stock heads and through an A4. My best ET is in my sig with this cam, and I'm looking for 11.20's this weekend with some better weather and a raceweight around 3,475# or so. Once that is done, I will go for some 10.80's with a set of our cylinder heads with the stock bottom-end.
Our 228 reverse split should provide you with right around the same power as the 228R but with some better streetability. The idea is to give you the breathing ability of a 228/228 without sacrificing low-end power, while also giving you the driving characteristics of of a 224/224 cam. I think you will be very pleased with the results of our 228 reverse-split.
Let me know if you have any other questions!

The reverse split lobes harder right, since it's a 111 LSA. I would be leaning more towards that cam because it lobes harder then the 224/224 112 LSA.

IMHO you can't go wrong with either the 228R or the 228Reverse. They will both cam harder & make more power than a 224 cam

Being that we're a new shop, there aren't too many LS1Tech.com board members with our cams. That's one of the reasons for the cam sale. I have no doubt that you'll be pleased with either of the cams you mentioned.

I will have one of the TSP228R in my TA by the end of this week. I also, could not decide between the two cams but I eventally decided with the 228/228. Jason, Trevor, and Joe know their stuff.
I'll let you know how it is when I get my car put back together.

I didn't know that you guys were a new shop. I had a feeling you guys were new because I haven't heard of the shop talked about that much on here.
Also ls1itldo is your car a a4 or an m6 and are you going to be running aftermarket heads with that cam? Keeps up to date with the results as well.

No, I will be running stock heads, I'm a broke college student. Heads are planned after I graduate in May. I have an A4 with a 3000 stall. I will get to the track to see the gains as soon as possible and I plan to get my car dynoed as soon as TSP gets their shop finished
