i guess i need to take oil pump off to change the timing chain..correct? if i must take the oil pump off to get to the timing chain i guess i might as well put a new one on

Re: i guess i need to take oil pump off to change the timing chain..correct? MY CAR HAS 30K ON IT AND I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF A SOTCK OIL PUMP DYING WITH THIS MANY MILES ON IT. I ONLY HEAR OF THEM DYING ON CARS AROULD 5K
SO MY QUESTION IS IS IT NESSESSARY TO REMOVE OIL PUMP IN ORDER TO INSTALL A NEW TIMING CHAIN
AND WOULD U PUT A NEW OIL PUMP ON IT IF IT WERE YOU CAR.
