I just got some 18's on my camaro w/alignment and the brakes where done 1,000 miles ago. The ride is some what bumpy as compared to the stock 17’s and going 50 mph it steering wheel shacks a little not a lot but some noticeable. Any body have this problem? Could it be the balance of the new wheels tires, thanks for you help?

Could also be your ball joints or rotors. Does this happen when you brake or all the time?

Does not happen when I break because I changed my rotors because it used to shack which was the rotors

yeah, if its just in the wheel (not in the brake pedal), I'd look at your ball joints. Some years the ball joints were made so that the area where the zerk fitting screwed into the bottom would stick out about .050" or more, if it was less than that, then it is time to replace them. I'm not sure if all years of Fbodies were like that, or if there is a better way to check them.

Who is your slutty steering wheel shacking up with?

Start with the simple things when it comes to stuff like this. I'd take the car back and have the front wheels rebalanced, sounds like they are off.

^^^^^ Im with this guy. It sounds like a balance problem. Next time you drive it see if the vibration drones at higher speeds. I.E. lite vibration that pulses in and out.

It only happens 50-65mph and its all gone but it does make a click clunk sound when I break.. its probably the ball joints.. because I read other threads and posts and thats what the problems seems like.. I even had the cluck sound when you turn the steering wheel but that was fixed by tighten the rack and pin :) by the way got the rims off ebay so I can't take it back but if problem still is there going to have them rebalanced.
