Default KILLER top end???

In the process of buying a short block from a member on here.

408 Iron LS1, Eagle H beams and crank, Diamond pistons, everything forged. ARP head bolts and mains.

Has a single roller timing chain to throw in also.

Should I not worry about the head bolts and go ARP studs?

Will be looking into a killer top end. Want to go with a dominator or similar carb, edelbrock single plain intake, ect ect.

What would you guys build for a track motor that can be driven on the street some and putted around.

Will be a Nitrous motor, direct port.

IE heads and cam? Not wanting canted valves either.
Thanks.

P.S. who do you guys think is the best shop to talk to about custom grinds? I know that will open a can of worms hahaha.

As of right now I have no budget really, I do know I am not going to fork out the cash for a canted valve set up just because down the road I want to build a turbo car and then fork out the serious money then.

Just looking for HP and price ranges and decide from there.

Aftermarket heads all the way though.

Got it thanks.

A lot of the sponsors on here are pretty vauge on their sites on what they have to offer. A lot are just really good street packages and thats not really what I want. I want a max effort 408!

Don't want to start calling people yet because once the short block comes in I am an going to go pick up a semi built TH-400. After that I will have the cash to buy the top end or at least a SICK set of heads so I don't want to go calling around and spending peoples time untill I have cash to spend.

I know of a local shop that can build me something sick, I am just seeing what else is out there.

How soon will you be putting this together? This fall I'll be selling an awesome set of gtp sollid roller heads and matching cam that should be exactly what you're looking for.
