Default Big Bore without sleeving 6.0 Iron block.. have some ??

ok, here's the deal.. i'm going to be building a big bore 427-434 and i have a client that is going to do the block for me. He is using a new (patented) method of 'linging the cylinders' with a compound. my question is how large of a bore can i go (tolerance wise) and be semi-safe?
for instance: I bore out 70 over and the plating takes about 20-25% back.. what kind of crank/pistons & heads would net me 9:1.. really if i don pistons that will lower the compression will a set of 6.0liter heads need to be worked (of course the valves will be large
I'm looking to spray about a 300-400 shot on her

talk to me..what do i need to do about custom pistons/rods/cranks (spec)??

any help would be appreciated.

devin.

i dont understand your question. are you tring to make a big bore motor out of an sleeved aluminum block without resleeving you are you tring to bore a cast iron 6.0L block .070? eather way you are going to need custom pistons for that kind of setup. what ever company you chose can get the compresson you need with what ever heads you are running. this usually runs about $900 for just custom pistions with pins and rings.

For safety's sake, I wouldn't bore over a 4.060" You run the risk of leaking coolant into the cylinders, not to mention warping the bores, especially with a 300 shot. Keep it at 4.040 at max, then have your buddy put his coating on. No sense in going to a .070".
