Default I need a cam, please help guys!

Alright, I was always looking at the 224/224 .581 114 thunder cam - but I have heard that our Intakes are a little restrictive - So I was then thinking of a 227/224 .581 114

I am going to run stock heads probably this year, but will upgrade to a stage 2 (absolute/or other) later. I want to hit 400/400 hp/tq but do not want to spin my engine to 6800 rpms to do it. What cam can I get ( that won't be too noticeable " ie 114 LSA n (lope)) and hit 400 horse and torque w/stock heads and STILL benefit with a set of stage 2 heads?

Please help guys, I need to make a choice soon!
Thanks.

I believe that either cam you chose of the two you listed will be fine with the 227 cam being better if you dont mind shifting above 6500 rpms. I dont think there is much differance from 3500 up to about 6300 rpm,s.

I'm running MTI's X1 cam

230/227 .591/.571 112lsa

I hear its not good to run w/stock heads though, but if you are going to run ported heads, I would suggest getting this cam...I shift around 6500 RPM's... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
