LS1 Miata
I want to go ahead and do one of these conversions.
I've looked high and low at websites of people who have done it before, but I have yet to see anyone who documented themselves along the way. Most of the sites and threads are more along the lines of "hey look what I did" with pics and videos.
Anyone know of any sites or guides which can walk me through the process of cramming an LS1 into a Miata? What extra parts I need, major modifications, costs and so on?

That would be a cool ride. I know a company used to do the 5.0 engines out of Mustangs in Miata's back in the 90's, but I haven't heard of anyone doing ls-1 swaps in them. That would def. be sweet.

www.ls1miata.net is my site. I lost 10 pages worth of info and pics. There are 8 running lsx miatas I know of. Go to www.miataforum.com and go to the engine conversion section. There is were you will find some info. you are looking for. Also, go to youtube and type in Ls6 miata at ACU 4. That is my car at a autocrossX. I also have a walk around video too. I will post in the future a driving video.
There are a few of us here at this site too. Also www.torquecentral.com is a good place for the conversion too. It will ghive you some ideas what you are in for.
