Default 3.89s on a auto

I'm planning to purchase a 9" for my formy and I tried a search but most of the guys that used the 3.90s were on a M6. I DD my car and planning to go to TX from FL to visit family and of course whip on some Ford's and imports, but would the 3.90 be fine for street car. Right now I'm using 26" size et streets but planning to go taller once these wear out. Or should I just stick with the 3.73s.

usually people use 3.73 or 4.11. many people say that 3.73s are great for highway runs and still maintain driveability and mileage. 4.11s are dominating for racing and 1/4 mi, but for driving, they run out of gears quick. however, it sounds like 3.90 would be a nice, happy medium especially for an auto. go for it!

Yeah that's the same thing I heard. Just wanted to see if anyone has 3.90's on their cars. Do anyone have 3.90's in their cars now?
