Default Ls6 Intake Gain?? Worth the cost??

Is putting a ls6 intake on my car worth it?? Right now I am putting out about 500 rwhp at about 7-8 lbs of boost with a p1sc, cam, and pacesetter lts. My car is a 98 z m6, would putting a ls6 intake on gain that much(10-20rwhp) or should I just add 2 more lbs of boost. Goal is to be around to be around 550 rwhp with a couple more mods. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I would either go with the LS6 Intake or spend a bit more and get a 90/90 combo.

You will be able to net a lil more power at the same boost level with out risking boosting to much and breaking something.

I would go LS6 or straight to a carb-style... Probably nothing else.

yea the 90/90 is not for forced induction you pick up nothing over the ls6 intake. That would be a waist of one grand. Just get an ls6 you will make more power at the given boost level.

ya i would just get an ls6 intake, i felt a decent change up top from it when i switched.
unless your spinning your engine high, or have alot of cubes then id go with the single plane.

Another choice is the doing a 90/90 combo, but using the LS2 intake. On FI apps, the LS2 show better results than the LS6 and a little lower than the FAST 90mm. With the LS2 intake costing a fraction of the FAST intake, it is a great combo IMO

I would definitely go with the ls6, it will gain you some hp, and its really not that expensive

yea I havn't seen proof of even an ls2 90/90 making more power than an ls6. The best turbo shop in the country speed inc swears by the ls6 intake so put that in your pipe and smoke it.

^ Yeah.

Sorry guys, to me there is no point in going to anything between the LS6 (SUPER cheap and VERY proven) and a single-plane (When the LS6 is obsolete, i.e. BIG HP!!!).

But, it's your money.

I'd go with the LS6 intake myself for your combination. Bob

I'd go LS6 if on a budget, otherwise I would do an LS2/90mm combo.

If you got the intake with a EGR provision, look very carefully at how well the EGR pipe seals into the manifold, I had to reseal mine because it was leaking and causing all kinds of tuning issues.
