Buy the complete cam kit (retainers, pushrods, and springs) 689.00. Then get yourself a new timing chain, ported oil pump, and gasket kit.

I would first check your motor health by doing a Compression/leakdown test.
If motor OK then consider this:

Lifters (at least new LS7 or Cadillac or Morels)
New Extreme Gold springs (to handle the LSK lifts and lobe)
P-rod checker tool to get the right pushrods.
Adjustable T-chain
Degree wheel to degree the cam.
Dial to measure PTV.
Katech replacement rod bolts.

This is to do it properly and safely (the right way).
Otherwise it is Russian roulette and a big cam like that can have nasty consequences, such as:
Collapsed lifter, spun brod bearing, and PTV contact amongst others.

(230/230 .612/.592 110+4),

Nice XFI/XE-R cam, more of a "true" torquer.

I like Patrick's way of thinking

I'm happy Car pulls pretty strong and has no trouble losing the rear 255's in a cloud of smoke
