My STS turbo 383 build **PICS**
It's not yet complete, but getting there. I'll update this post more as it comes together. Car is a 1998 Z, 6spd. I'm going to run what little exhaust there is through a CME with stock like chrome plated tips that fit almost perfectly in the valance. The cme should look a lot nicer a be a nice change from the typical false second pipe most STS guys go with.
LS1 block, Dragon Slayer 4.0" stroke crank, Compstar 6.125 H beam rods, and Diamond -28cc 2618 fordged pistons. Rings are gapped for forced induction, and the bearings are Clevite 77 H bearings.
Dart Pro LS1 225 heads, custom Bret Bauer turbo cam, fast 90mm intake/Nick Williams 90mm tb, pacesetter lt's (probably should've gone with stock manies I know), TRT 4" FMIC. Tranny gets a SPEC twin, billet flywheel, sfi bellhousing, and a Moser 9" w/3.73's and truetrac. Also getting a Spohn K-member and complete suspension with some other stuff too.
Man I can't wait.

I believe the CR came up ~8.8. For now the t56 is stock, haven't gotten quite that far into it. Clutch is the new SPEC carbon graphite twin disc, good for up to 1100ft-lb.
When I started considering how to do this, my low boost goal was 500whp, I think I'll have at least that In all honesty I would like a car that can be a dd (it is not though) capable of 10's on pump gas with all the creature comforts, that would make me happy. But I'd like to see solid, consistent 9's.
