have a misfire after storage and decided to go ahead and change the plugs and see if that fixes it, but realized how much of a major pain in the *** it is to get the plugs out of the passenger side.....anyone know of any tricks or what is necessary to get them out?

Just did my TR6 Plugs lastnight. The last two I did from underneath on the passenger's side.

I took off the coil packs and I was golden. I have huge arms so the little extra room helps a lot.

Take off the pass side coil pack. then use a large gear wrench over the base of the spark plug socket (they usually have an outer hex).

Removing the coil packs was the best thing I ever did...since I don't have the AIR system anymore, I don't have to worry about it being in the way, so I have a straight shot in through the top.

There is no need to remove coil packs.

Use 20" long 3/8 extension and universal on the rear drivers side.

Remove#8 from underneth car.

I guess its personal preference, but I find it WAY easier to pull the coil packs, especially how easy it makes putting the wires back on. I leave the back bolt out and it takes about a minute to remove the pass side coild bracket..

i just use ramps and get it from underneath...u can also do number 7 while ur under there as well....to each his own

Like everyone else says, remove the coil packs. You won't believe how much easier it is.

the only one that gives me problem is the dreaded #8 plug. buy a SHORT, STUBBY ratchet and get it from underneath. works like a charm no extensions or nuttin. p.s. sportin some dynomax LT's here.

pull the pass. side coil pack makes it so much easier, and when you put the coil pack back on only put in the 4 front bolts, leave the back one out makes it so much easier

I can change all my plugs from up top in 15 min's no air pump or EGR in the way with pacesetter lt! All i have is 3 bolts holding on each coil pack "Fu** the back bolts" I use a spark pug socket with a 3/8's swivel taped to it with electric tap to hold them together and also around the swivel part to stiffen it up and use it with a ratchet and that's about it! Ii makes it so easy!
