Question 2002 T/A ws6 will not crank

I have a 2002 t/a ws6 package and the car will not crank. It has a good battery and good starter. When i turn the ignition to crank it will do nothin. Need to know if it is n the security system and if so how do i rewset it or if there is a sensor gone bad.

Does your SECURITY light come on and stay on? It may turn off while you are cranking the key but it should come right back on after you leave the key in the ON position.

I dont mean the red light on the dash, I mean the actual light on the gauge cluster that reads SECURITY. If it does, try a VATS relearn:
To do that you need to turn on the key and try to start it then leave the key on for 600 seconds. Then, turn off the key and repeat 3 times.

If this doesn't do it, try your spare key. It could be the VATS system causing this, somewhat common. You can buy a VATS bypass like what people use on aftermarket alarms. Do a search for vats bypass.
