Default LS1 into LT1 car (motor mounts)

Buying an Iron 408 LS1 short block to be build for my LT1 car.

What would be cheaper or easier. To have LS1 mounts put in my car or go with a k-member?

Or will the LT1 mont locations in the same place as the LS1?

Sorry, never really looked at either nor have I messed with them.

Can I just install these on the factory "k-member" or are these for aftermarket ones? http://www.thunderracing.com/catalog...d=769&pcid=313

Those mounts are for a Third Gen. I have a '94 with the original K member. The shop that did the swap, before I owned the car, did not use an LS K member. They just welded the mounts in place. You can get a used K member for 300 and change on Ebay, and it will come with a steering rack and mounts.

I got my kmember for 50 bucks from a local guy. Mounts were about 50 bucks as well.

Yup, you can get a stock ls1 k member cheap and sometimes people just give them away.
