Default Coil springs and unsprung weight

I own an 02 SS Camaro. I want to lower my car but am concerned about adding unsprung weight to my car. I have contacted numerous manufactures and distributures about the weight of their particular springs. I will give a plug to HOTPART.com because they were the only company that could provide the weight info on their product, Vogtland Springs.

I realize that there is much more to than just weight when buying springs but it is an important factor. If any one can provide the weight info of any after market coil springs I would really appreciate it. No use adding a boat anchor when a feather weight works.

I would also like to thank Sam Strano for taking his time to provide his high level of technical expertise and common sense to this forum

Default

I have weights on all the springs I sell. And mine are made by Vogtland, with the same VVS alloy, but to my specs instead. I don't recall you asking. Springs ship out, boxed @ 27 pounds. And Porgressive springs will always weight more because the soft windings use more material. Standard Vogtlands are progressive, and the rates are IMHO, pretty messed up.
