Drag Racing Tech - Opinions on new setup

I am looking for any opinions/suggestions/estimates on how my setup. I appreciate any feedback!

Last season I ran the following setup-

TR224 112lsa
stock heads
fast 90setup w/ NW TB(car was tuned with ls1 intake on it, no tuning done when I added the fast setup)
Lid
Mac Midlength headers, ORY, cutout
FRA
stock front suspension with sway bar removed
textralia clutch
9" 31 spline axles w/ 4.11 gear
CE rear shocks
UMI rod ended adj lca's
BMR adjustable torque arm mounted to trans crossmember
Some weight reduction done (no interior at all, wheels, other small items)
15x3.5 welds up front with 26x11.5 ET streets on stock 16x8 rims out back

With the previous setup I was able to go a best of 12.14@114.55 on a 1.74 sixty foot.

The new setup (Still waiting on a few things to be installed/arrive, but this will be the end result)
MS4 111lsa and appropriate valvetrain components
stock heads
Fast 90 NW 90TB
Kooks 1 7/8th LT's with X pipe and spiral flows dumped (thanks slowz28)
Lid
SSRA (thanks txcamss)
QA1 single adjustables up front with 275lb spring (thanks silverghost)
stock K member, no sway
Coan built TH400 w/ brake
Converter will flash to 4200-4400
Same rear suspension as last season
Bogarts front and rear with a 325/50/15 drag radial on the rear
4.33 gear replacing the 4.11

I also still have the 26x11.5 et streets and will probably swap back and forth between the 28" radial and the 26" et street depending on what the car does as far as MPH and hook.

The goal is to get the car into the bottom 11's, perhaps even eek out a high 10sec pass.

The biggest problem IMO is the heads. Cam only cars have made it down to the 10's and 11's, but they were very very light weight.

Is there a reason you are not going to swap out the heads?

I'm not swapping heads at this point because I simply don't want to spend any more money on this stock displacement setup. I am trying to limit my buying to items that will transfer to a bigger cube setup next year.

I forgot to mention a few of the other weight reduction items that we are doing are things like tubular K, a arms, removing ac and all that junk, 1 seat. At this point I am going to keep the bumper supports and things like that. Here is a photograph of the interior last season.

4.33s is alot of gear with a Th400. You street drive it much?

No, I only bring it out to race.

What did you have to do to get the 325s to fit? Just BFH or did you shorten your rear end?

I think the 4.33 is too much gear for your car you might bounce off the rev limiter a few times.

I have the same setup as you except I have FAST 70mm and completely stock suspension. Same rearend with 4.11's and I have run mid to low 11's. I haven't swapped heads for the same reasons as you, I only want parts I can swap over to my new stroker......when it's time

From what I calculated the car should be able to go 130.40 mph with a 4.33 gear, 27.9 tall tire and a 6800rpm rev limiter. I don't think this car will go anywhere near that 130mph mark, we are looking for low to mid 120's out of it. The limiter might be set higher we will have to see how the power falls when we get the car on the dyno. If we have to rev it out past 6800rpm we are going to probably end up with a 4.56 gear. As for the 325's I have yet to put them on. I run adjustable LCA's, and already have the bumpstops removed, the only thing I plan on having to do is get the BFH out.

You must run in some nice weather or something, although I never had my car retuned for the fast 90 setup as I planned to go bigger and didn't see the point of retuning and then retuning again. I do not think my intake setup was hiding that much mph, you must run in nice weather, have a lighter car or something. Your track times impress me with such a tame setup!

Update, got the cam in and it's idling. Need to swap the exhaust and motor mounts then it's off for a tune.
