Ive got a hole in my head.
Just got my car up and running yesterday go to drive it to work today and as i get about 1/2 mile away the car started to have some serious valvetrain issues. So i pull in and take the valve covers off and to my surprise i have a huge hole on #7 intake port where the rocker arm bolts in. Its a brand new sdpc 347 w/ ported 59cc ls6 heads, 224/230 comp cam. Also took the plugs out of the drivers side and 1&3 looked great where as 5&7 looked really rich. Any help would greatly appreciated. Will hopefully have some pics up tonight if i can get the car towed back to the house.
*Pics added down a little further in post.

I think TSP supplies SDP with there ported heads. if so they'll take care of you as they had a bunch of those doin that with the old port design. call them. that still sucks though.

Also when i took off the intake every intake runner had an oil residue all on the walls except for the last two on the driver side. Its a brand new motor with about 40 miles on it. Also i just talked to the guy that used to own the car and he says that the heads were done by vengence racing.

Here are the intake runners that i was talking about with oil inside of the valley on everyone except for 5&7
And the are spark plugs 1,3,5,&7 from left to right
See how 1&3 look a little lean were as 5&7 look really rich

Just to clarify we do not port heads in house. We use TrickFlow TFS Cylinder heads as well as TEA for all of our installs.. I have seen the above quite a few times now. Common TSP issue on their old design....
Unfortunate situation to be in... goodluck with everything!!!

TorchRed, do a search under my posts, and you'll see strangely similar problems...
My car did the same thing with an old set of TSP LS6 heads...luckily, as usual, TSP stood behind their products and sent me a new set.
Good luck with the repairs...

Thats just the negatives of raising the roof of the port higher and higher trying to get more air flow for the ever demanding power monger lol. Stock castings have thier limits which is why aftermarket castings have bridged rocker mounting. Im not saying it doesnt suck Im just saying we live in a performance driven hobby and you run into this from time to time and thats part of the territory. Glad it didnt cause other problems/part failures....your actually lucky
