It's pretty straight forward. Just take whatever off that's stopping you from getting to the mounts. Headers need to come off to make your life easier.. luckily your doing that anyways.

It's just two pieces of steel that look like the motormounts minus rubber. Bolt them to their respected places, and then put the bolt through the mounts to hinge them together. They came with no directions because none are needed.

Uh... what? Not sure what you're asking, or maybe even saying, but every SBC motor mount I've seen has a bolt going through the two pieces holding them together.

Meh, I'm drunk and pissed off, I hope that drawing makes sense Bottom is what bolts to the motor, top is the frame portions. When they come together, the bolt (which is []=====) goes through joining them.

Formula350, there is no middle bolt going horizontal on the new mounts. It's a solid piece with 4 bolts going in block, and 4 bolts going in k-member. Your thinking of the other kind.

The long bolt that goes thru the motor mounts (stock or solid) is used.
Have you decided how you are going to handle the knock sensor?

Umm no. You don't use the long bolt in the middle.

I think he was referring to the vibration caused by solid motor mounts. You will probably pick up some false knock from them. May I ask why your getting them? It doesn't sound like you have a highly built motor since your just getting LT's, but I have no way of knowing that.

I used the Moroso solid mounts, the long bolt was used.
False knock with the KS's, I disabled mine.

MADMAN'S motor mounts are a solid piece and cant be taken apart. they ONLY fit on the motor and k'member one way. take one stock one off and match it up to the madman mount and voila there ya go.

I turn it 'off' in the PCM. Change the table so it doesnt pull out any timing when it detects knock.
Granted this is usually done on a mostly track car.
