Default comp 918 valve spring life?

On a street driven ls1 w/ a cam that has less than .580 lift, how long should the 918 valve springs last? 20k? 40k? 100k? Assuming the engine isn't being spun past 6300rpm, if that matters.

Springs should be checked for pressures every 15K or every year. They are more brittle than stockers and if driven hard or not heated properly, their life can be shortened. I've used a set on a XE .571 lift for 32K, They wer eon their 3rd year.

Nice. After 32k were they shot, or did they still have some life left?

I have about 20k on mine and they are just fine at the moment. I will be replacing them soon, just to be on the safe side.

I had 35k on some that were fine when pulled. Alot of factors determine spring life: RPM, lift, driving style, valvetrain geometry and weight, ramp rate, etc.
