LQ9 intake same or betteror worse then LS1/Ls6 intake??
Can the LQ9 intake be better or the same as the LS1/LS6????
I am picking up a LQ9 for my 70 firebird. I know I can use the truck intake.
Just curious if the truck intake performs the same as the ls1/ls6 or better
or less ??? Thanks!!

What RPM do you intend on spinning the motor to?
If you plan on street driving and spinning less than 6000 most of the time the truck intake will make more torque/power down there.
If you plan on seeing the other side of 6K a lot then you may want to look into swapping to a LS6/LS1 intake

The guys on the truck forums have posted the flow numbers for the truck, LS1 (early), and the LS1 (late)/LS6 intakes. The truck intake flows about as well as the LS6 to about 6K (from memory). The LS6 is better after that, but not by a lot. Truck guys basically say swappping for an LS6 intake is not worth the trouble.
