abs problems

Sounds like you're running skinnie tires up front. Shouldn't be using a radial tire up there...wrong type of tire. Not rated for your car nor is it the correct diameter. More then likely, the difference between front/rear tires are too large. Actually, even if the ABS lamp wasn't illuminated...your ABS wouldn't be working correctly since your tire diameters are different.

Same problem except 26" rear 24.5 front. I dont even know where the sensor is to check for rust but since all was fine until I put the 24.5 on is there a fix except to buy new tires and you say my abs doesnt work with or without the light being on because of the 24.5???

rickssz, the problem with runnning 2 different sized tires is one set will be spinning faster than the other and to the ABS and traction control, it will look like these wheels have lost traction and are slipping on the road. If it continues for more than a specified time limit, those systems will shut down. It is safe to drive with them shut down, but you will have to drive without TC or ABS, so emergency situtations could get scarier.

I understand what you are saying and dont like it. I didnt do this on purpose ,the kuhmo I got were listed on the tire rack site as 25.4 inches and after putting them on it turns out they are 24.5 inches and cause the problem. Tire rack wont offer any help so I think Ill buy a different brand from Discount Tire Direct or someone that backs what they sell.
