Default 69 firebird options

i found a 69 firebird with a 400 ram air hood, auto, buckets, pwr brakes- drum all around, a/c console, rally wheels, but it needs a **** load of body work, is this a odd optioned car??? is this worth my time for resto, the guy told me to make an offer, im hoping it to be low b/c he is still looking for the title.... were alot of firebirds made like this or do i have a diamond in the rough??

It sounds like the car needs alot of work. By the time you are done fixing it, you will have spend much more then the car is worth. From that perspective it is not worth it, unless you get the car real cheap or you don't mind spending the money.

I wouldn't say rare on the options deal. Buy the car and make it want you want, as I wouldn't say it's something to restore and turn a profit on.

yeah well, i wouldnt leave it origional anyway, the only way i would do that if it was a t/a..... but i figured replacement panels, metal plates, and some filler/fiberglass, disc brakes and cleaned up interior, i could make a decent ride, not looking to make a concours car, just one to show and drive...

Price out body work estimates first. It probably is cheaper to buy a more expensive car in the long run.
