YEAH, that was BRETT with the Elec.Blue Z06 with the ghost flames with Cartek 427 that went low 10s all day long and was bought by the gentleman who talks about his friend buying the car below. That is the fastest n/a C5 Z that is doucmented on the forum and that car also went 10.59 when it had its stock cubed Cartek ***** to the wall N/A heads and cam 346 motor and also holds the record here for the fastest stock cubed N/A manual C5 1/4 mile times. Of course, the perfect sea level N. Jersey track elevation and other positive track factors in New Jersey didn't hurt those times at all, but they were backed up within serveral tenths at other tracks during some national events where BRETT brought home the trophy!
Took another $20K 427 Cartek motor to go only .4 tenths faster in the 1/4 mile. His goal was to run 9s but never quite got there and BRETT the original owner and driver is one of the best hard core drag racers around with a manuel tranny C5 and he drove the **** out of that car down the 1/4 mile and could drive with the best of them!
