They are an "as cast" head. If you have access to a good head porter, I'd suggest having some work done to them. An extensive port job that reshapes the intake or exhaust ports would not be needed- some basic work on these heads, would be worth good flow all over the curve. I've had a set on a flow bench, and have a little big of experience with them. They're a powerful head as stock, but I'd really like to see what they do with some port work.
