Gears & Axles - 3.73s or 4.10s in a A4

I know this subject has been argued in the past but im still confused on what to do,right now my mods are lts,ory and whats in my sig, next on my list is lcas, relo brackets and sfcs, and drs
for a dd that doesnt see the interstate except when I go on trips which isnt very often, would 410s be too much for a A4? when i put my lts on I noticed I lost quite a bit of torque but it pulls like crazy up top now, would I be happy enough with 373s or should I go 410s?

3.73s. I had 4.10s. I hated them on the interstate. Now I have 3.42s and like them. 3.73s would be great.

I have 3.73's , pacesetter lt's,ORY,Magnaflow catback,Madz28 tuning and some other bolt ons. I love the 3.73's. I think the 4.10's would be a little to much the way the 1'st gear is in an a4.

if you do the math you can figure up what rpms you will be turning at a given speed, that can help you some. i think i had figured up i would be doin about 2700 rpms at 70 mph with 410's, but i have smaller tires than you guys. i would never want to hear the motor winding at more than 3 grand for any substantial amount of time, but im sure ppl do it, things just wear out faster, and youll start calculating gallons per mile

I just put 3.73s i love them it cruises at about 2600rpms at 70 I am very satisfied with my gears I was running 13.8s at the track after i put the gears in a raced a friend of mine who runs 13.2x and we stayed bumper to bumper so it definetely made a difference.

Exactly! Hooking up with the steep first gear is the only thing that would keep me from running 4.10's. I wouldn't have a problem with the highway rpm's, but I have taken 1800 mile road trips with an A-3, 3.73 gears, 3000 non lockup converter, and 26.5'' tires.

3.73 or a 3.42
4.10 is too much gear for you

i have 373s w/ 17 inch WS6 rim/ tires and at 70 mph its 2400 rpms. do NOT go any higher than a 390 gear, and yes you can get 390s, Motive makes them.
