Default amp question

On most amps theres a input and a output rca jack. does that mean I only have to run 1 set of rca's to the deck to one amp and connect the other amp to the output side of the amp connected to the deck?

Correct if you have multiple RCA preouts on your HU though, use those if you want to maintain any control that may be lost in differentiating between amps.
