Default 402 D1 track times

It has made around 585rwhp and 780 torque on a mustang dyno a few months ago. .
Finally got a chance to take it to the track. For those that dont know, setup is 402 LS2 with a D1SC. Paceseter long tubes, truck heads, 228/236 cam, ATI converter, 3.73's.
Was run on pump gas, full weight f-body, ZR1 rims wrapped in Nitto drag radials.
I was trying to learn how to launch this thing with the Nittos, traction wasn't that great. Did a couple of 10.9's with a 1.9 60ft. I was feathering the throttle all the way into second gear. Couldn't realy hook.
Last run was:

60ft: 1.711
1/8: 6.77
MPH: 109.13
1000: 8.73
1/4: 10.385
MPH: 136.61

Was trying to get into 9's with a better launch, but oh well... The setup will be changed this or next week. New setup will be..
F1C, Kooks 1 7/8" -2" -3.5" headers, ETP 245 heads, custom EPP cam, Neal Chance converter. I will need a better tire!

Why even bother with nittos and 700+ wtq? Pointless, lol. I am actually impressed you managed a 1.70.

Nice MPH. Def need to get some sticky tires on the back. Those Kooks will free up some power too.

We just wanted to get an idea of what this thing can do before the setup changed. I was leaving off the trans brake, at under 3000 rpm's, and that way I was pulling the 1.7 60ft's. First run I tryed it off the foot brake, I got a 2.1 60ft.
I will be posting a video of a few of the runs.

I'm interested to see the vid. My setup will be very similar to yours except its a 6-speed. Guess we shall see in a few weeks. Good Luck with the changes.

This really goes to show why using an automatic is so much better for 1/4 mile times! Not bad at all, I'm shocked the times are as good as they are with Nitto's. Bob

Interesting to read times there; the mph is the same as the Tonner's mph last run, except our et was only 10.50

interesting, i will be trying out some nitto's on zr-1's, 315's... im sure i will need way more tire than that, but since they are on the car, might as well try while keeping it safe.

good mph... 9's are RIGHT there.... just hook!

very impressed with your times. I'd like to see what you do with that F1 and a real tire on there.

I have the shift light set at 6,500.
On the last run, first gear I shifted real early, maybe 5500 rpm's, because I couldn't get any traction, second gear was at about 6400, and third I stayed on it until I hit the rev limiter, which I think is set on 6700 or 6800.
