Default 402 track performance. 1st time

I ran my 402 in the 1/4 finally. First off I had the check engine light come on while I was headed to the track and I scaned it and found a crank sensor code. I decided to run it once anyway and it ran a 1.60 sixty with a 11.14 @ 122mph N/A. It was cutting out at 6400 due to the crank sensor. The temp was 83 outside and we were at Route 66. I hope she will run a 10.90 when I get the new sensor and in 70 weather. Im proud, but the 60ft times droped from when I was in Tn. I used to could pull mid to low 1.50s at my local 1/8 track.

I can see 10's in that the 60 can also improve which will really help the time.
Good times for the first try.

Thanks for all the props. I was from Lexington, which is close to Jackson Tn. I hope the car runs 10.8 to 10.9 I think it will.

Your time is almost identicle to my first pass on my 402. I ran a 11.18 at 124 mph with a 1.75 sixty. That was on a real safe tune and just rolling into the throttle. Next time out I hoping to also break into the 10's.

I Have removed the ac, front bumper support, and rear seat. I weighed in at 3450 with me in the car.

Suspension mods are adj. lca, adj phr, and eibach springs which I know arn't going to help my 60' times.

Well, I ran again. This time the weather was better but I only got one run in. 1.56 60ft, 11.13 @ 122mph. I shifted at 6300, I didnt expect that good of a pass. Seemed a bit humid for my liking, but the 60 improved. When it cools back off it should get low 1.50 60's and find the 10's up here

Good first numbers! How is your 402 configured? Heads/cam?

I has the texas giant cam in it. And some 6 litre heads, stage 3 ported.

It needs a great tune. It is runing on a mail order tune.

I know how anxious you are to get in the 10's. Last year my car went 11.1 all day long. Took it to the track a couple of weeks ago and the first 2 passes were 11.00 and 11.01, finally went 10.88 @ 123 mph on the 3rd pass.

It was built by TSP and PRC. Its a conservative setup, but I think it runs ok with stock intake and injectors, full weight, and just a mail order tune.

Sure am bro, I will get there. I desperatly need a tune, intake, and some larger injectors. Weight watchers needs to come my way as well......
