Default F7 daily driver cam

I was thinking about getting a Futral F7 224/230, with a 114lsa for my daily driven SS. The plan is the get it after my headers go in. Anyway I was wondering where usable power will start, I already figure I'll have to start driving in 5th gear at 60-65mph (instead of 6th). Also without any overlap I was hopping my mileage wouldn't be affected except for not being able to ride at 1300rpm anymore. Anyone think this cam is a bad idea?

As far as a DD cam, it is a very good choice.

Sounds good to me. I went with the F11-112 as my daily driver. Install coming this weekend!

okay good, I was also wondering at what rpm this cam would get choked off at. In the future I would like to rev my LS1 past 7000rpm with some strong internals and some good heads (haven't decided which heads yet). Any chance this small of cam would make any power at 7000rpm? Assuming it is the limiting factor.

Also, if I stroked to a 383 would this cam still be a viable option?

I could work, but would be like the stock cam in a 346. Futral speced a 239 243 for my 383. I also use to DD a F14 in my 346 so you will be happy with a F7.
