Default How hard is customizing a guage cluster?

I am trying to get a bunch of electrical bugs worked out right now:

Fuel guage "wacked out".. does not read properly.
ABS/TCS.. I am about to install a SJM ABS/TCS delete.
Water temp.. i know that the 00+ guages did not really work.
Speedometer, about to install 4.10's.

Basically I would like to set up all aftermarket guages that actually read correctly, as well as an aftermarket tach w/ shift light but I don't want to mount it on the dash I hate that look. I also don't want a pillar guage I think it looks cheasy in anything but a complete drag car.

I want Speedomete/ Tachometer/ Voltage/ Fuel Level/ Oil Pressure/ Fuel Pressure/ Water Temp.
Then along the bottom I had planned on incorporating the following:
Brake!, Check Engine!, Check Gages!, Low Oil Level!, etc.

I might buy a Valentine 1 radar detector also and had considerred incorporating it into the cluster, but I am not sure it will fit properly. I will most likely have a "switch" cluster for my n20 setup going in and will be hiding that in the ashtray.

Is this a reasonable plan?.. yes/no.. give it to me straight.
