Default Few passes from yesterday

Nothing too exciting really, about 80 degrees out and had a bunch of timing out (14 degres peak) and running the car a lot richer (11:1 or so) and got it slowed down to 9.40s. Max around 14psi of boost. Doing a couple 9.50 index races soon, I will say its a lot easier to slow it down then make it go faster Who says a blower car cant be consistant, 9.46 @ 145.3, 9.43 @ 145.7 and 9.42 @ 145.7..

Very nice runs. Straight and true. Are you able to lower the boost to make your 9.50 or will they allow .10 difference? What was your 60's. Again nice set-up. Water push days over ?

Good luck.

It wont push any water when its warm out, power drops off pretty hard. I figure it will be a little warmer when I really race it so it should be right at 9.50.

Yesterday the 60 foots were 1.310 or so, they take a dive when it gets hot out - not too much I can do about it with an A2A intercooler.

The TAG said 2500' DA and 85 degrees but thats with the sun heating everything up. Real air temp was around 79 most of the day and the weather wasnt that bad with a nice breeze. You dont see me running much when it gets above 85 and the humidity goes up, it gets hotter then hell in the car, then add a 3 layer jacket, pants and gloves and it takes a lot out of you. Thats why I do most of the work on the car in July and August, air conditioned garage and its too hot for me to sit in that stupid car

Not bigger necessarily, just fresher. This 346 has nearly 300 passes and why kill it now. I may grind the bracket a little and try a 4.25 pulley on the F1A, 20psi with the 4" pulley is a little much.

But its 'real' racing season and not timeslip racing season so all I have to do is get it to run 6.0 in the 1/8 or 9.50 in the 1/4 which is no problem for the D1. Matter of fact I just came back from an 1/8 mile 6.0 heads up index race and ran a 6.001 and a 6.010, then slept at the tree and lost first round with a 5.96 @ 118 trying to catch the other guy, thats racing..

1.38x or something, I had it really turned down and the 2 step at 2000. That works to slow it up a little but kills my reaction time. A .100 light on a .400 pro tree wont get you far when the other guy runs 6.00

thats odd that your converter acts like that... usually on dads car if i give it more space between the 2step and the converter's stall rpm it hits harder... on his bracket car we only give it a 200 rpm "run at it" to try and soften the 60ft

every car is ALWAYS different...

At 3500rpm the car wll react a lot quicker, 2000rpm is pretty weak off the line on mine. Depends a lot n the car as well, a heavy stock suspension car just isnt going to react as quick as a light 4 link car. My car is perfect on a .500 pro tree with an .020 delay but a .400 is rough - I'm getting old too and just dont do a lot of pro tree stuff anymore..

Yeah I havent been in close to two years, track needed some major work between the water box staging beams the last time i was there. I had HEARD they was going to concrete the 1/8 hearsay though i assume. I might come and check out your ride if im home, its came ALONG way since if seen it. It was wild though couldnt hardly hear the car run and it rip off high 9's.

Its just as quiet now, now but it runs low 9s. The times in this post are from trying to slow the car down to 9.50s, it been 9.13-9.17 quite a few times.

They supposedly redid the whole track last year, the pic in my avatar was from october last year and it sure was hooking. It didnt seem that much different but they supposedly did concrete to the 1/8.

obZidian, here is the first pass from a slightly different perspective, looks a little quicker.

Like i said i havent been to the track in a long time, sold my 02 z28 bought a notch back more of a race car and it pretty much made me loose intrest for a while was quick just a headace. Its ok though because im partin that bitch out now to get back in another f-body.
