Default dash and deck lights

I just got the Alpine 9883 deck for my car. i am havin a few problems with it. i got it all hooked up and and turned my lights on and the dashlights didnt dim with the dimmer. and i was wonderin if it was possible if i could get it to work with the steering wheel buttons.

Did you splice any wires? You can use your steering wheel controls with that HU but you will need a third party adapter such as Soundgate or PAC.

If your headunit has wired remote input, you can use a PAC SWI-?. (The ? is to denote the manufacturer-specific unit. Example: PAC SWI-PS works with Pioneer and Sony.)

If your headunit does not have a wired remote input but it does have and IR remote, then you can use the PAC SWI-X. Its the universal IR steering wheel adapter.
