Default Couple Combo Questions

Hey guys. I'm thinking over a few different engine combos for a 78 malibu I'm working on and one of em is a 6.0 LQ4 swap. I'm thinking about picking up one local and swap on a 4bbl intake, MSD controller, and a 650-750 Holley. Rest of the drivetrain is a built 2004r, 3200 Stall 9.5" lockup converter, and a 8.5" 3.42 GN rear. Fuel system is an intank Walbro 255 pump, -08an feed line, -06an return, and an Aeromotive bypass regulator.

Running a LQ4 with a carb, MSD controller, and a set of 1 3/4" long tubes, what kind of power and ETs could I expect? These motors seem to make gobs of power and respond awesome to bolt ons.

At a later time when I have more time to work with it, I'd like to go back to fuel injection but for now, cheap power and a carb will work, just looking for suggestions on which way to go.

Oh car should weigh 3300-3400 with me in it.

Thanks guys
Nick

I remember reading about your setup on maliburacing.

I see you set the motor as far back so the pan would clear the crossmember. Do you have any pics of your mounting plates? Did you use the stock V8 frame side mounts? Do you think your engine would clear a non a/c heater box with a little modifying or is it too tight?

Thanks
Nick

Also what headers did you use in your swap? Drop in or did they require mods?

Thanks
Nick
