Don't panic until after you check the tips of your valve springs for broken off bits. If you don't find any little pieces missing, then panic. The top of the valve springs in my 2007 LS7 were ground too much when manufactured, making the end of the wire coil paper thin. Naturally the tips broke off. After careful checking, I haven't found any pieces anywhere in the engine or dry sump system except on the magnetic oil pan plug.
