My town has new Impala SS police cars and they look very stealth, I was wondering, do they have the same LS4 that we have or do you think GM beefed up the horsepower on them?

I am 100% sure it's no better than what we can do. It was in our shop a week ago. A fuse kept blowing and making no interior lights.
exhuast is kinda hidden and very basic looking, no chrome tips. Rims are 17x 8. very discreet looking car. No light bar on top or BIG letters to let you know what it is.
It will give an upper hand in winter, officer said they had to go to a driving school to handle the fwd, it think its awsome. So did he. They are talking plans for the RWD Impala in 09.

Wasn't it Motor Trend that did the cop car comparo last month? They said the police package was a 3.9L.
Michigan State Police are getting the new Dodge Chargers, they look like something out of Robocop with their dark blue.

Heres a bad tahoe, not really, but I trying to find specifics. This is a bit old, they have now wanted to go with the 6.0, but I dont see it happening due to fuel milage.

I've seen a couple of Charger cop cars here in Michigan, just city cars though. They look decent. They have the 5.7 Hemi 340 Horse.

I was driving on I-24 in Tennessee and they were using ImpalaSS, not a police version of the Imp. Had the same wheels, exhaust tips, and our SS badging. It looked like a regular white ImpSS. The had the light bar inside at the top of the windshield and in rear window. I saw 3 of them with cars pulled over. That just ain't fair, can't tell whose who anymore.

They have a lot of R/T Chargers for state patrol as well as city patrol up North of Cedar Rapids. . . although I found out the other day that a Black Impala SS with a magnaflow exhaust walks a couple lengths on an R/T. . . twice
