LS2 cam in LS1 Question

LS2 cam in LS1 Question My roomate is swaping an 5.7 into his 02 silverado for the 5.3. Will and LS2 cam bolt in or will he run into problems? With the numbers on the cam is it worth it to his setup? He has the LS2 cam, springs, and pushrods.

Sorry what I ment to say was he is running a LS2 cam, springs, pr. It is a stock LS1 bottom end but the heads are milled .030 with stock gaskets. Can he still use the LS2 PR or will he need a different size?

well... yes it will bolt in but it will not work without changing a few things, you need harness adaptors, a new timing cover, an LS2 timing setup.... Why not just get a cam designed for an LS1 and not have to deal with that stuff?
