Default Putting heads back on

How many people have had problems with the lower 3 middle head bolts on the driver side. I cant get the damn things past the headers to get them in their holes not matter how I try, and my headers are stuck on the y-pipe pretty damn good.

Also what did yall use to clean the bolt holes, i spraye dthem wilt compressed air, clean them with paper towel dremeled the bolt and used that and theyre still wet !!!

you have to unbolt the headers from the y pipe and drop the driver header down. Although on my buddies car the header was a bitch to drop in/out so we just kind of moved it around depending on which bolt we were on. If your collecter is welded to the y pipe your probably gonna have to take a sawzall to it and get it re-welded.

For the water, roll a paper towel up like a HUGE cigarette. Get it as tight as possible. It will work, it just takes time. (I just did mine today :o )

I ended up shop vac'ing the holes. Then I used the paper towels. Then I used the 'thread chaser' (dremel delight). Then I used more paper towels. Then I used the dremeled bolt again. It took forever, but it worked.

Yeah i got it done, everything back togehter, pretty much completely done, then when I went to put in Spark plug #8 I found out the threads in the head for that one were all F*cked up. So now the driver head is back off and I get to clean out the locktite again and call patriot tommorow for some new head bolts.

And yeah, I did...I had to take out the steering linkage and drop the headers out, they were easy to get to after that.
