I got a set of Arp headstuds with my new motor, and the studs were already installed, and i went to put the nuts on to torque the heads down, and all but one nut had threads inside of it. I can't believe how much they get for these and they can't even sending a nut that has threads in it. I am super mad because i was suppose to put my car together and have it running by tomorrow night.

For what ARP charges, you would think you would get some KY jelley with um!

Just get another nut at a hardware store (stainless) and replace it when you get a replacement (good luck on that!)

Recheck the torque after a few miles.

It is a real drag when you look and find one or two of those 12 points missing

Not joking.

My local hardware store carries stainless in that thread.

Not 12 points though.

The problem is that a steel nut might rust up due to the heat cycles and be a real pain to remove.

Just a temp fix.

I had a problem with ARP. Their support was terrible. I lost a washer when taking my heads off. I called ARP for a replacement. After multiple calls they sent me to a reseller, who promised to ship it and never did.

Luckily I found it when I dropped the pan (I thought it fell in there).

I'm glad that my nuts are ok. If it was left to ARP, I never get my nuts fixed!!
