Default Procharged D1 Install

I am finally installing my D1 to replace my P1 and I noticed on the shaft where the pulley goes on. It looks like there is an extra thick washer. Is that normal? Can it come off?

My P1 does not have that. And I don't want to space out the J-Bracket anymore than I have to.

Most likely it's a spacer to shim it out for a different bracket...I would take it off since your P1 didn't have it because they are exactly the same externally... So you got your motor back huh...Can't wait to see you at the track again..

MY D1 has a big washer on the outside of the pulley. Between the pulley and bolt not between pulley and blower. Hope this helps. I know they use the same brackets and everything so nothing should be different. I have my D1 and motor out of my car right now. can get pics if you need

you just have to make sure that the new d1 is going to line up eith the outher pulleys on the J bracket. Just take off the bracket and line it all up. most likley you wil need the same size washer on your new head unit as you had on your old head unit. Just swap washers.

The washer should be .075" thick for the 6 rib kit, and 2-.100" washers for the 8 rib.

Thanks, but what I really what to know is if I can remove what looks like that extra washer on the shaft.
