Default Initial Dyno: 375rwhp

With crappy heads, mail order tune and a mild cam and all the bolt ons, still didn't get quite what I wanted, but thanks to all the guys who helped me along with this project, especially David, Omar and Jason and everyone here. Injuneer and shoebox just to name a couple.

These are SAE corrected numbers and the correction factor was about .95-.96

Don't mind the name or the AFR. Wideband was broken.

For reference (approximately):
MPH RPM
58 3100
64 3450
71 3800
77 4100
84 4500
90 4850
96 5200
103 5600
109 5900
116 6250
122 6600

that's awesome man, hows it feel #'s aside? Anyway how she lays that power down is more important than the #'s alone IMO.

Considering that is a Mustang dyno, those #s are pretty good if the heads are indeed crappy and the cam is mild.

The cam specs are in my sig. I guess I wanted 390-400 from the mustang dyno.

I am happy. Even moreso that I didn't encounter ANY valve float and the tq curve is nice and flat.

Yes, they are. I know I didn't buy them directly from you, but they were very poorly ported or something. They didn't flow well at all and I can see they're stalling out right around 6.1k RPM.

They were also milled a good bit so I had to mill my intake. It was not a wise decision buying used ported heads from someone that didn't know anything about them. (was not Jason, he's a great, stand-up guy)

Yeah, I didnt do the porting but it seems to me like the heads are doing really well. You are basically at 400rw (Dynojet) at 5500rpms! Remember, flow numbers are not everything....especially peak values. I did a set of heads last summer that flowed 260cfm at peak (.600") but the mid lift numbers were strong. The car (LT1 M6) trapped 121mph with a CC 306 off the shelf grind (stock bottom end).

To me it seems from that graph that if you wanted more *peak* hp (above 6000rpms) you should use a larger cam.

Honestly, the heads look like they are performing really well.

I do plan to spray it, eventually.

Jason, thanks for pointing that out. I guess I should be satisfied with this. Not much else I can do now anyway. I appreciate your input and will keep y'all up to date on what it does at the track. Hopefully the nitrous won't run it out of gear.

Low end torque etc? A vid maybe?

...guess I can post a thread about it....
I really liked the tighter LSA. If you notice, this cam is not available in the catalog. The lobes were specifically picked to increase the lift and lower the LSA. The 111LSA isn't going to be much if any different from a 112 that most others run. In fact, this cam doesn't have THAT much overlap and the IVC is about average. I think the DCR came out to 8.5-8.7 I think.

You could get more power with more overlap, earlier IVC and a lower LSA, but you loose drivability and the tune has to be right on. I went with a mail order tune from Bryan Herter and it's really close. It will be even better once I find a working wideband dyno.

I love the way it sounds. Should have a vid up soon of idle and take off.

First, congrats man, car looks strong for an a4 and "crappy heads" on a mustang dyno.
