Talking First appearance mod on new car.

Had to do a brake job today, so i decided to do a little paint work while i was in there.

Before:

After:

I used duplicolor caliper spray. About 7 dolars a can and still plenty left to do the rears.

I used the box the rotors came in and cut a curve that matched the ledge just inside the swept area. It worked pretty well, minimal overspray.

Brand new rotors are NOT shiny! He replaced the rotors. Look at the before picture you can see the uneveness of the rotor face and the after pic is smooth. In post #5 he was explaining how he painted the hub black.

yes thats what i thought..bout painting the hub black... but he said it explained that the rotors were painted in post 5... i never bought new rotors before.. so i didnt know they looked liked that..when i sold them at advanced auto parts they were shiny.. but without lines.. i thought he prolly got them re-surfaced, and for some reason painted.

I painted the rotors as well, just the parts that are not swept by the pad.

The whole front surface of the rotor shouldn't have been painted. I painted a little past my line and they now howl like a dog. I can only imagine what the whole rotor would sound like. Let us know
