Considering selling the 98 Z28 project, needs finishing touches, pics later $4950
As most of you have seen it's the famous 98 Flood Z28 from Katrina. I bought a 2000 rolled SS as a donor for this one and built this car out of that one. It has a really nice clean straight body and runs like a scalded ape. There is essentially no evidence of flood or body damage to this car. Nearly everything was replaced properly. All the wiring and interior is new and operates perfectly with the exception of the power windows. I have both new motors but have not yet got around to replacing them. The factory alarm, operates well, all lights, horn seats etc work perfect. Has LS6 cam (not yet installed) and straight pipe 3" exhaust. It is a white hard top auto with ebony leather. Feel free to call me up come over and take it for a spin if ur serious. 80K orig miles on the drivetrain 58K on the body
Now for the not so good.
Car is a salvage flood title (clear to register)
Needs transmission, this one is starting to slip at the higher speed when you punch it.
Needs front windshield (yeah still)
Need air bag sensor (the air bags are perfect and operable but the sensor is from a 98 and it requires a 99+ so the light will come off and the a/b work if needed) I forgot to snag it from the donor car.
Tires are pretty bald but really sharp ZR1's chrome
Needs a/c evaporator. It has one in it from an lt1 but ooops not gonna work. I do have the rest of the a/c system off of the 2000. but the evaporator in the donor was damaged. So to have a/c you'll need to pick up the evaporator. I priced one for 40.00 at tex-mex in Houston. Cheap part but a bitch to have to take off and re-install.
To make it perfect a coat of paint and rear spoiler would not hurt.
Thats about all I can think of for now. Selling b/c to be totally honest I'm kinda tired of pouring $ into it. The a4 4L60E was the kicker. Perfect for someone wanting a solid running LS1 on a budget. If I don't get what I think is fair I'll just keep it and finish it later before I take a total beating on it. I will not part it out but might trade for ?????? Feel free to ask me any ?'s thanks

Unfortunate situation your in, I think your gonna end up keeping it though cause I doubt you are going to get near your asking price. You'll probably get offers in the 2500-3000 range

You might be right unfortunately but I figure I'll try here and on ebay. If not that meant I'll just keep her and build a proper a4 for it. It's not perfect but I feel a fair price for the buck. I'm not really trying to sell it but hey I'm not gonna cry if it leaves and I save a few bucks for the a4 either.

Unfortunately the donor car is long gone (with 1/2 of the stuff I still need (lol). The car does not have an odor at all. I forgot to mention that. It smells like the rolled donor (which did not see any water). I pressure washed it after it was stripped and gutted. I don't think there's anything original on it aside from the window motors and body parts to smell. It did wreak like hell at first though. I would estimate under $2k max (parts and labor) to finish it and have it near cherry. The biggest issue is the tranny, although it runs fine it will need rebuilt or replacing. The rest of the issues are to me minor. Oh yeah the cig lighter doesn't work (might be a fuse). but it's little things like that. Feel free to give me a shout. I'm very honest and won't hide anything from you b/c i don't really wanna sell it anyway. (713) 306-0172

a nice Sunoco hood would look right at home on that thing....looks like you took the time to get it in good shape agian......If I had cash and the room I'd throw an offer....My LT1 car already takes up the only spare space in the driveway, and man these cars look goofy without a spoiler

lol I know huh thanks for the compliment. I have an ss spoiler supossedely on the way (been waiting for over a month now coming from Cali) and the rolled SS had a near perfect hood on it but that somehow grew legs on it and took a hike while in transit to me go figure. I did track it down I think and might be in the process of obtaining it. If I do I'll just throw it in with the car or that might opt me to keep it too.
