Default Somthing Crazy Wid My 4l60 In The Goat.

ok as of sat. night it had been a week since i had had my car dyno tuned at hpe. last night (sat) i was cruising down i-20 at 80-85mph and all of a sudden my 4th gear just went away and it reved slowly to bout 3000rpm and shifted down into 3rd. it wont go to fourth it just revs up and goes to 3rd. the shift pressures r pretty high and the tranny is stock, yall think the pressure is causing this to f up. and i think 3rd is bout to go to.

if your losing fourth and 3rd is slipping more than likley you have a 3-4 clutch failure in process

No I mean you can try but its likley a waste of time , Burned fluld will cause the seal to break down faster and off poor lubrication but in and of itself will not cause the trans to slip. You need a trans,

Did you tune the higher pressures into your PCM? Try going back to stock.
If not...
Clutches are slipping.
Rebuild time.
It happened to mine with about 45k
Fully built now hi-po servos, reinforced sun gear and new bearings, kevlar clutches, shift kit, and hi-stall.
Too many burnouts and manual shifts were my pitfall.
Good luck.
