Going to be installing my Koni's in a couple weeks. Have been looking over the install docs and reading here.

My ? is with the rear shocks. Has everybody taken the carpet completely off or have they cut the carpet.

If you have cut the carpet could you post some pics so I can have an idea.

The carpet should already have an outline of where you cut. It's already perforated so you can cut it easily with a razor. If you have Koni adjustables, you're going to want the carpet cut anyway to get at the rebound adjuster on the top of the shock.

Just as stated above the carpet is perforated so that you know exactaly where to cut. It looks like there are already flaps cut, but the cuts do not go all the way through the carpet. Just follow the lines with a sharp razor and go from there. Just did my install this weekend.

thanks guys found where to cut. thas where I figured but wanted to make sure. Can I get to the bolts for the install with just a cut in the carpet? Ir... Run into any problems with the install? Any suggestions other than the write up on ls1howto.com.

Yeah there's just one nut on the top of each shock, easy to get to. You'll probably need two wrenches, one for the nut and a smaller one (7mm I think) for the top to keep the rod from spinning inside the shock.

Just installed mine this past weekend, and its not hard, but the spring compressor sucks to use(rented from Auto Zone). You will be amazed of the handling from the Koni`s!

I folded it back.
