Default Dirty Coolant/Heat Core Cause Misfire?

i talked to a service guy at my local pontiac garage and he told me that my p0300 misfire code could be caused by dirty/bad coolant or a dirty heat core....any ideas about this?

Either that or you need to wax the car, that will cause a p0300 any day.

that is the first time i have ever heard of dirty coolant possibly causing a missfire, maybe if it was extremely dirty and causing hot spots or causing your motor to overheat but very doubtful.i doubt your coolant is seriously dirty enough to cause any issues. i'd check the o2 sensors, plugs and wires.

well then i'd pull the plug and take a look at it. now would be a good time to change all the plugs. it could possibly be a bad injector but i'd say more than likely it is a fouled plug.
