car in shop...again
well my car is back at the dealership....about 2-3 months ago, the entire M6 tranny was replaced (under warantee), now they are rebuilding the entire rear-end and replacing the alternator (under warantee). Its an 02 SS with 36K miles. I don't drive it hard at all really--a few 20-30 mph punches here and there. Is it unusual to have these kind of problems with a relatively low mileage car that is used as a daily driver? I understand the alternator but the other stuff?? The engine block is stock, but a lot of the mechanical aspects of the car have been replaced/rebuilt because they failed(cats, rotors, tranny, rear end, alternator, battery), i have elected to change out the rotors, cat-back, wheels, tires, shocks, springs. Due to a fender bender, I have also replaced the hood, passenger fender, bumper, grille, impact bar, and headlights with new GM parts. I feel like I could have built an entirely new car by now.

GOOD luck! If you can get that, kudos.

It being wrecked, which will show on the Carfax report, will also devalue it. You'll be lucky to get 15k for it.

thanks man, thats awesome! It will have some more items on there in the near future! I was thinking that a new tranny (waranteed to 100k miles) and rebuilt rear, done at a chevy dealership would actually be selling points and not subtract from the value of the car. It would kill the collectible value, but this isnt a collector car anyway.....
